The rains have continued and the winds are rising, the forecast for the coast is very high winds (up to 70 mph) and lashings of rain. The leaves are really being blown off the trees and by the end of the storms most trees will be looking pretty bare.
It was so windy this morning that few small birds were to be seen and one gull was making little headway as he tried to fly south into the wind, every minute or so he had to land to take a rest. Unlike yesterday morning when I watches a couple of gull gliding around at a great height - much higher than they normally are.
