HAPPY CHRIMBO! Whatever we may have been dreaming about this Christmas has been pretty dull & damp, the rain held off yesterday but is making up for it today! Christmas day at Peartree Acres was very traditional but moderate - we had the boozy time with relatives staying Christmas Eve who then set off for deepest Dorset on Xmas morning. Yours truly cooked the turkey, etc and a very nice meal it was.
Boxing Day and we needed to get some exercise so walked down to the shore in order to watch Cunards new liner, the Queen Mary 2, come in on her first voyage from the shipyard where she was made at aSaint-Nazaire. She is the largest liner in the world, has a crew of 1500 and carries around 3000 passengers - there's some nice pictures of her at this French site http://www.marine-marchande.com/queen-mary.htm .
