Two weeks and I have not heard about the job at the Uni which pisses me off, even if I did not get the job they could at least have the respect to let me know.
Be that as it may, the main fun here is working towards saying goodbye to Windows. The first step was to partition the hard drive and set up dual booting. I have ordered a copy of SuSE 8.2 and will use that on this machine to learn about Linux, the commands make sense but I still have to learn them and also get a picture in my head of how things are arranged. After years of using DOS & Windows it will give me lots to chew on!
The next stage is to get a faster machine and set it up running Linux only and that machine will become the basis of the home network.
