Well, that's it then - Christmas is over, we finished off the turkey last night and a very good turkey it was. The missis is all played out and taking a nap whilst I batten down the hatches for this evenings storms.
It may be Saturday, the sales may be in full swing, but it's pretty quiet around the Green - little traffic and the weather too wet for all those new bikes. Just looked out the window as two dwarves walked passed smoking, they might have been 10 year old boys - hard to tell.

What have we done (not you and I but the Missus & I )?! First off we get a kitten - she's a totally lovable mackerel tabby bundle of goodwill, intelligence and energy. Gutsy as well. Secondly, we bought a television/DVD combo - I have not owned a TV since 1988 and have hardly see any in that period. Seems to me that the soaps are still as naff as soaps have ever been, the comedy has got decided dumb and there's maybe one or two films a week I'll bother to watch. Hopefully there will be some good documentaries that don't treat me as I'm five! To be honest, I have seen enough American TV to know that we have it pretty good in the UK so I will stop whinging right now. Also, we are pretty nifty with the off button!
We got the TV (you may be wondering why) because we want to watch DVDs and the cost of a DVD player for the Hifi plus converter box for the computer monitor was approaching the cost of a small TV. We ended up paying £140 for a 14in TV with DVD that also handles CDs, MP3 & Picture CDs. I bought a little switchbox so that the DVD sound ouput can be fed through the HiFi.
